| 2 | Paused |
| 3 | Started |
| 4 | Complete |
| 5 | Processing |
| 6 | Retrying |
| 7 | Failed |
| > 7 | Service-specific states - usually referring to different service-specific failures |

File status flags

🗒️Note: these codes can be used in combination, so a status of 4112 = 4096 (file is in temporary cache) + 16 (file is begin copied elsewhere)
| Flag | Status |
|---|---|
| 0 | Copied ok |
| 1 | File is a copy (i.e. replicated from another storage service) |
| 2 | Currently copying file |
| 4 | Copying failed |
| 8 | File has been removed |
| 16 | File is new (nothing copied yet) |
| 32 | File has copied and we are generating a checksum |
| 64 | File was not retained (retention policy dictated a removal) |
| 128 | File was copied but generating the checksum failed |
| 256 | File was copied but there was a mismatch between its checksum and the one provided |
| 512 | Pending deletion |
| 1024 | Generating a file size for the asset |
| 2048 | Failed to work out the file size |
| 4096 | File has been stored to a temporary cache before being stored elsewhere |
| 8192 | Failed to copy asset and failed to cleanup too |
| 16384 | Failed to delete/clean up a failed store so try again later |
| 32768 | Failed to copy the asset as job was cancelled |
| 65536 | Failed to remove file from landing area cache now its not in use |
| 131072 | Delete only when been in this state for number of days specified in profile (recycle bin) |
| 262144 | Updating properties of the asset, like file extension |
| 524288 | Updating properties of the asset failed |
| 1048576 | Updating metadata of the asset, like profile and original file name |
| 2097154 | Copying but not StorageService, an external client is doing it |

| 0 | File has been added |
| 1 | File has been deleted |
| 2 | File has been retrieved by another client - usually for replication |
