Need further information on the Imagen site permissions? This reference guide will explain each permission, and why you might use grant it to users
| Description | This allows users to edit the database settings and any services the website connects to |
| Use case | Users/groups with this permission will be able to modify the backend settings that configure Imagen |
| Description | This allows users to create database records |
| Use case | Users/groups with this permission will be able to create new records |
| Description | This allows users to import records |
| Use case | Users/groups with this permission will be able to create records and import media from external locations |
| Description | This allows users to create clip downloads from the website |
| Use case | Users/groups with this permission will be able to make and download clips from your videos |
| Description | This allows users to manage other users' comments |
| Use case | Comment moderators can edit or remove comments as required |
| Description | This allows users to create clip or record downloads from the website on behalf of other users |
| Use case | Users/groups with this permission will be able to make clips from your videos and order downloads for other users/groups |
| Description | This allows users to create, edit & delete news articles |
| Use case | Deliver the latest user-generated news to your site |
| Description | This allows users to manage workflow access control and priority |
| Use case | A workflow manager can delegate permissions to use different workflows to import new or reprocess existing media |

Groups/users will require this permission to perform Administrative tasks accessed via the admin panel. This user(s)/groups(s) will not automatically inherit any other permissions - as an example, they will not inherit create records. This permission will allow access to the edit pencil functionality on the front-end of your platform. |

| Use case | This permission is required for users or groups of users to create collections. If you intend for all users to be able to create collections you may choose to add this permission to a standard user group |
